The experiments and their theoretical interpretation at the Mainz Microtron MAMI are supported by the "Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG)" with a Sonderforschungsbereich (SFB).

The DFG is the central organization to support research on german universities and public research institutes. It is financed in equal parts by the Federal Government and the Länder Governments.
